Song: Röyksopp - Happy Up Here Vocals by Svein Berge and Torbjørn Brundtland (Röyksopp) Released in 2009
Lyrics: You know I really like it I know I'll always be here You know it makes my heart beat You know I'm happy up here
Would you talk to me Would you vote for me Im ready for it! You know I really like it I know I'll always be here You know it makes my heart beat You know I'm happy up here
Would you talk to me Would you vote for me Im ready for it!
You know I really like it I know I'll always be here
Whatever you do Whatever you say Nothing could push this feeling away Pursuing my heart or pursuing my head I feel like I'm part of the book of love Remember the page Remember the people Simply a part of human nature Sending me back to the memory lane this pain again
You know I really like it I know I'll always be here You know it makes my heart beat You know I really like it I know I'll always be here
Whatever you do Whatever you say Nothing could push this feeling away Pursuing my heart or pursuing my head I feel like I'm part of the book of love Remember the page Remember the people Simply a part of human nature Sending me back to the memory lane this pain again
You know I really like it I know I'll always be here You know it makes my heart beat
Song: Röyksopp - The Girl and the Robot Vocals by Robyn Released in 2009
Lyrics: I go mental every time you leave for work You never seem to know when to stop I never know when you'll return I'm in love with a robot
In the night, call you up and Wanna know when you're coming home don't deny me, call me back I'm so alone
In the night, wait up for you Even though you don't want me to Go to bed, leave the lights on what's the use
So you want to understand me You just see what you want to see there's no way I can help you out You don't know what it's all about
Fell asleep again in front of MTV God, I'm down at the bottom No one's singing songs for me I can't wait for tomorrow
When you're gone and rain starts falling I just sit here by the phone don't deny me, call me back I'm so alone
Oh, when you gonna come home? Oooooh I just gotta know When you gonna come home? Oh
Baby I can't stand it when you go to work You never seem to know when to stop I never know when you'll return I'm in love with a robot
In the night, call you up and Wanna know when you're coming home don't deny me, call me back I'm so alone
Song: Röyksopp - Röyksopp Forever Sit back and listen.
Song: Kid Cudi - Day 'n' Nite Vocals by Kid Cudi Released in 2008
Lyrics: Uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh...
[Kid Cudi:] Day and night (what, what) I toss and turn, I keep stressing my mind, mind (what, what) I look for peace but see I don't attain (what, what) What I need for keeps this silly game we play, play Now look at this (what, what) Madness to magnet keeps attracting me, me (what, what) I try to run but see I'm not that fast (what, what) I think I'm first but surely finish last, last
[Chorus:] Cuz day and night The lonely stoner seems to free his mind at night He's all alone through the day and night The lonely loner seems to free his mind at night (at, at, at night) Day and night The lonely stoner seems to free his mind at night He's all alone, some things will never change (never change) The lonely loner seems to free his mind at night (at, at, at night)
[Kid Cudi:] Hold the phone (what, what) The lonely stoner, mr. solo doe low (what, what) He's on the move can't seem to shake the shade (what, what) Within his dreams he see's the life he made, made The pain is deep (what, what) A silent sleeper you won't hear a peep, peep (what, what) The girl he wants don't seem to want him too(what, what) It seems the feelings that she had are through, through
[Chorus:] Cuz day and night The lonely stoner seems to free his mind at night He's all alone through the day and night The lonely loner seems to free his mind at night (at, at, at night) Day and night The lonely stoner seems to free his mind at night He's all alone, some things will never change (yeah) (never change) The lonely loner seems to free his(yeah) mind at night (at, at, at night)
[Kid Cudi:] Slow moe, (what, what) When the temple slows up and creates that new, new (what, what) He seems alive though he is feeling blue (what, what) The sun is shining man he's super cool, cool The lonely nights (what, what) They fade away he slips into his white nikes (what, what) He smokes a clip and then he's on the way (what, what) To free his mind in search of, To free his mind in search of, To free his mind in search of,
[Chorus:] day and night The lonely stoner seems to free his mind at night He's all alone through the day and night The lonely loner seems to free his mind at night (at, at, at night) Day and night The lonely stoner seems to free his mind at night He's all alone, some things will never change (never change) The lonely loner seems to free his mind at night (at, at, at night)
When are you truly yourself? What do you truly define as "yourself"? Our friends are an extension of yourself. They are able to look past your faults and still like you for who you are. But why exactly are they your friends? Do they see you for someone else or think you have the lack of willpower to do something?
It's hard to be yourself when at the same time you have to secure yourself for many different reasons. If you give too much out, you're not secured from anything. If you secure yourself too much, no one knows you or your reasons. It's too much of an obstacle. How do friendships stay together when there are underlying flaws that truly bother you? An upright resolution face to face works best but how well does that work? There are too much questions right now going on at the same time. I can see how trust can be so hard to gain from people.
My current situation is already laid out but the only way I can really found out about something is learn by doing. I get suggestions from friends but is it really the best way through? I've learned to be myself in situations. I've mellowed out and straighten out my contacts. I don't feel miserable anymore. I actually feel great for once. To be honest, I have been feeling great for the past few months. My priorities are still defined and I believe nothing is going to change them. Those are my beliefs. I've learned to be myself.
Song: MGMT - Electric Feel Vocals by Ben Goldwasser and Andrew VanWyngarden (both do vocals?) Released in 2008
Lyrics: All along the western front People line up to receive. She got the power in her hand To shock you like you won't believe. Saw her in the amazon With the voltage running through her skin Standing there with nothing on She gonna teach me how to swim
Ooh girl Shock me like an electric eel Baby girl Turn me on with your electric feel
Ooh girl Shock me like an electric eel Baby girl Turn me on with your electric feel
All along the eastern shore Put your circuits in the sea This is what the world is for Making electricity You can feel it in your mind Oh you can do it all the time Plug it in and change the world You are my electric girl.
Ooh girl Shock me like an electric eel Baby girl Turn me on with your electric feel
Ooh girl Shock me like an electric eel Baby girl Turn me on with your electric feel
Do what you feel now Electric feel now Do what you feel now Electric feel now Do what you feel now Electric feel now Do what you feel now Electric feel now Do what you feel now Electric feel now --- Ok. I have recently been getting into MGMT if it isn't obvious now. How did I miss this release from earlier this year? I hear a couple mashup songs with MGMT in it and I suddenly became hooked to the band. A mash up of MGMT's "Time to Pretend" with Daft Punk's "One More Time" got me interested with the band as the mashup was really good! Also, this song is just perfect. The Justice remix of it is just as perfect:
Also here is the mashup I was talking about: MGMT vs. Daft Punk - One More Time to Pretend (Immuzikation Blend):
